Today, having developed a reputation for consistently delivering safe, reliable, and professional contract services for national and international underground mining projects, Westfill is a principal underground mining contractor and a full-service provider for mining operations.

What You'll Do:

• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding.
• Servicing and breakdown repairs.
• Preventative maintenance and defect repairs.
• Work on equipment including but not limited to: Sandvik trucks, drills and loaders, Normet charge rigs, CAT graders and Volvo integrated tool carriers.
• Scope jobs accurately for quality repair of plant and equipment, including estimation of time, materials and resources required to complete the job.
• Work closely with shift supervisors, mechanics, and other underground personnel.

What You'll Need:

• Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification (essential).
• Previous mining experience (essential).
• Current Valid Manual Driver’s License (essential) and ability to operate underground vehicles with relevant RPLs.
• Full Australian Working Rights (essential).
• WA-based and available for FIFO (essential).
• A minimum of 2 years’ post-trade experience working in heavy machinery, agriculture, civil, construction or mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures and explosives handling.
• Strong diagnostic, maintenance, and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to follow strict procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude and strong safety focus.
