Location: Magill Rd, Stepney, SA (just 5min East of the City Centre).

Kinky Curly Straight is seeking a Qualified Hairdresser to help us deliver the best possible service to our valued clients. This position is fantastic for a senior stylist who is keen to learn, work in a busy trendy environment with a talented and award-winning team and look after the salons’ strong clientele.

Skills Required:

Qualified hairdresser with minimum 3 years experience working in a salon

Good personal presentation

Good communication and customer service skills

A positive attitude

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their hair needs and recommend suitable styles, cuts, or treatments based on hair type and physical features.

Perform hair cutting, shaping, styling, and grooming using scissors, clippers, razors, and other professional tools.

Style hair using a variety of equipment such as dryers, straighteners, curling irons, hot combs, and rollers.

Apply and safely handle hair colouring, bleaching, toning, straightening, and other chemical treatments.

Wash, dry, and style hair before and after treatments, including wig or hairpiece styling as required.

Perform beard and moustache trimming, shaping, and facial grooming.

Provide scalp treatments and massages for hygiene and therapeutic purposes.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tools, equipment, and workstations in compliance with health and safety standards.

Manage appointments, greet clients, and handle payments accurately, including cash transactions.

Monitor and manage salon inventory and supplies, including ordering and stock checks.

Promote and recommend appropriate hair care products to clients.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records and service histories.

·Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques through training and professional development.

Follow salon policies and uphold high standards of service and professionalism.
