About the role

As a Chef at Exclusive Appetite, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious dishes for our discerning customers. This is an amazing opportunity for a qualified and experienced chef, working predominently on your own helping us grow our fast paced and quickly expanding business. This role is perfect for a Chef who is a motivated self starter, adaptable, a multi tasker, can work with minimal supervision and who has passion for the trade.

You will play a crucial role in prepping, cooking and traying up high quality gourmet prepared meals. You will be responsible for liaising with management and delivery staff to ensure stock levels and quality are maintained. This part-time position is based in our Knoxfield, VIC 3180 location.

What you'll be doing

Preparing cooking and traying up a large range of menu items to the highest of standards

Ensuring all dishes are cooked following set recipes and ingredients in a timely manner

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Collaborating with other key business staff to ensure menu items, inventory, stocks and supplies are maintained

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Providing input on menu development and new recipe ideas to management

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Chef. As this role will see you working individuallymost of the time, competence and confidence is a MUST.

Excellent culinary skills and an ability to work with a sense of urgency

Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Ability to work well under pressure cooking multiple meals at a time

Creativity and a passion for producing high-quality dishes

Professional attitude and a commitment to continue to improve

Promptness and ability to arrive at work on time
