We are seeking Plant Operators or Sports Field Construction Operators to join our team at Victorian Sports Group. Due to continued growth within our company, we currently have new full-time positions available. At Victorian Sports Group we specialise in the construction and maintenance of natural grass & synthetic sporting surfaces.

We are based in Doreen and our job sites are across locations in Melbourne & Regional Victoria where you will be working on exciting new projects. Your responsibilities day to day will be the construction of various types of sports fields for clients throughout Melbourne including high profile Sporting Clubs, Local Councils and Schools.

Job Requirements:

Sound knowledge of machinery operation and skill level (Tractors, Excavators, Positrack, Laser buckets)

Have a sound understanding and adherence to health, safety and environmental requirements; a first aid certificate would be well regarded.

Licensed to operate tractors, laser buckets, excavators, Pozi tracks and related machinery in a safe and capable manner

Promote continuous improvement with open communication

Hold a current manual drivers license

Be able to follow instructions and work autonomously as required

Farming/rural background would be an asset

Undertaking specialised tractor Ag drainage on sports fields and golf courses.

Final trimming works

Total Station laser and General laser guidance equipment

Cricket Wicket Construction

Power harrowing / rotary hoeing

Oval stripping

Stormwater trench work and pit installations.

Sub grade preparation levelling and compacting

Retaining wall construction

Dirt/sand carting across ovals

Topdressing

Laser levelling with specialised laser scoops/buckets.

The successful applicant will have come from a background in the civil construction, golf course construction, turf or other relevant industry. We value experience with the following:

Tractor Operating (Fendt tractors preferred)

Laser Buckets

Pozi Track operating

Excavator operating
