ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Local Council based in Northern Sydney. Join an established team working alongside a team of dedicated Rates & Revenue professionals. Council is seeking an experienced Rates Officer to hit the ground running due to the increase in workload.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

A 6-month temporary contract. You will be managing property rating and revenue functions. Your main key duties are maintaining accurate rate records, processing property changes, issuing notices, and liaising with council’s mercantile agent.

DUTIES.

• Assist in taking repayment agreements
• Manage direct debit applications and payments
• Monitor, update and maintain rate, property and valuation records
• Provide excellent customer service to ratepayers and other relevant parties

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines
• Ability to work with large databases
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Previous experience with Local Government is preferred

REMUNERATION.

$35 - $40 p/h + Superannuation
