We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, project management, client relations and team leadership.

You will be participating in the management of a large variety of projects and a team comprising civil engineers/designers. You will be directly responsible for the delivery of high-quality advice to a blue-chip client base in the private and public sectors.

Duties include

Manage multiple engineering projects from conception to completion

Prepare detailed project reports, designs, and specifications

Oversee and direct the work of a team of junior engineers and designers (including providing training and support)

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

Ensure that all projects are completed within budget and on schedule

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements

Excellent written and oral communication skills, stakeholder management and production of written reports to a high standard;

Development of team capability and mentoring of team members.

Required skills & experience

5-7+ years’ experience on Australian civil engineering projects

Experience in a Senior Civil Engineer role or similar, with project management skills

Experience in the design of earthworks, roads and stormwater

Possess a strong working knowledge of 12D or Civil 3D

Possess an excellent knowledge of MUSIC and DRAINS (or similar)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring qualities

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) – suitable for membership of Engineers Australia
