About the Role

An opportunity exists for a teacher aide to join our passionate teaching team. The position begins in Term 3 and will involve working with students in Year 3-12.

Term time: Term 3 and Term 4 contract

This is a personally rewarding role where you will support students in the School.

You will

Work closely with the students on managing the day-to-day routines and supporting student learning and development

Support student in their development of transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Maintain relevant notes highlighting strategies used to support the students.

Create positive, professional and genuine relationships with staff members, students and their families

Have a high level of initiative and motivation whilst being professional, proactive, and flexible

About You

You will have

Previous experience as a teaching assistant with demonstrated skills to support students with learning needs.

Minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in School Based Education Support. A Diploma in Education Studies (highly desirable)

A current paid Working with Children Blue Card

Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates and experience working with students with medical conditions

Current Child Protection training or willingness to obtain
