We're Hiring!

As a trade qualified Plumber, you'll undertake a wide range of general plumbing and irrigation works at Flemington Place. You’ll work both independently and alongside a tight-knit team to deliver exceptional services.

The Details

General plumbing - maintenance, installations, repairs, hydraulics works and maintenance of pumps and of pit and underground services.

Fault finding and problem-solving.

Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications.

Stakeholder management.

Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated.

Maintain accurate records of completed planned works for all VRC plumbing assets.

Flexibility and reliability – you’ll be part of a 24/7 operation in the peak event period. (Melbourne Cup Carnival)

Skills & Experience

Trade qualified Plumber.

Construction white card. (desirable)

Elevated work platform licence. (desirable)

Domestic and commercial plumbing experience - Kitchens, bathrooms, spouting and roofing.

Knowledge of pumping systems and plumbing hydraulics.

Solid maintenance background.

Experience in the use of backhoe and civil vehicle and plant highly. (desirable)

Sound knowledge of workplace safety and OH&S requirements.

A positive, can-do attitude – every role contributes to the success of the Club and the Carnival!

Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated.

Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
