Full-time (38hrs per week) plus overtime (no weekend work!)

Shifts are - Mon to Thu 5.00am to 1.30pm, Friday's 5.00am to 11.00am

Prowler Proof is Queensland’s largest manufacturer of aluminium security doors and windows, operating in Banyo for 40 years. All our security screens are manufactured by more than 25 specialty workstations in a fully automated and world class factory.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced factory hand to join one of our busy and hard-working production workgroups.

Duties include:

operating aluminium cutting machinery and welding robots

loading and unloading frames to and from an automated wash plant

powder coating

operating laser cutting machinery

installing a variety of infills and hardware into welded frames

packaging finished doors and windows

About you:

To be successful in this role you must:

be reliable and willing to work

have a valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle

be available for a 5am start time

be willing to work overtime

be punctual

be able to lift 20kg comfortably

be comfortable working with technology

be keen to work and eager to learn new skills

be able to keep up in fast paced environments

Wage rate

Casual factory hands are paid at the casual award rate of $31.19 per hour under the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020 (MA000010).

Pathway to permanent employment

Casual employees demonstrating exceptional skills and self-leadership qualities will be provided an opportunity to fast-track to the security of permanent, full-time employment.
