About us

Connected Libraries are in the City of Casey which is one of Victoria’s largest, fastest growing and most diverse municipalities. We operate five Libraries, a Library Lounge located in Cranbourne West and three sets of 24/7 library lockers. An additional Library Lounge service point will open in Clyde North early next year.

We deliver services for the more than 400,000 residents who call Casey home.

The current Cranbourne Library is located at 65 Berwick–Cranbourne Road (just 50km from the CBD). We are in an exciting phase of designing our new Cranbourne Library as part of the City of Casey’s new Cranbourne Hub project.

About the Role

As Cranbourne and Digital Resources Manager, you’ll be responsible for the senior leadership of Cranbourne Library, our Library Lounges and our Digital Literacy Team.

This opportunity will expand your leadership skills beyond that of branch manager as you’ll also play a pivotal role in operationalising the brand-new Cranbourne Library, set to open in 2029 and the Clyde North Library Lounge opening in 2026.

Other aspects of the role include overseeing our library electronic resources and databases in collaboration with the digital literacy team and the Collections and Local History Manager.

You will:

Drive and motivate team members in a collaborative, flexible and supportive manner through change and innovation

Communicate skillfully and utilise excellent library services knowledge to ensure high performance and positive community outcomes.

Serve a diverse community in a fast-paced, ever evolving library environment

What you’ll bring:

A recognised qualification in Library and Information Management (or equivalent).

Library expertise in leading teams through strategic service delivery and development

Knowledge of collection management processes and electronic library resources and databases

Highly effective time management, organisational and planning ability to balance conflicting priorities of branch and specialist needs

Knowledge of public library trends, collection development, online library services, emerging digital technologies and community engagement.

Monday 8.45am-4.45pm, Tuesday 8.45am-4.45pm, Wednesday 12pm-8pm, Thursday 8.45am-4.45pm, Friday 10am-6pm, 1 Saturday in 4 and 1 Sunday in 8.
