Assigned Locations: Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland (multiple roles available)
Role Purpose:
To drive regional growth and retail execution across Artisan Fine Foods’ supplier brands by combining in-store excellence with smart account management and new business development. This role leads the activation of premium deli solutions at store level, builds trusted relationships with independent supermarkets, and acts as a key liaison between Artisan, suppliers, and retailers. A hands-on, field-based leader who brings strategy to life—store by store, case by case.
Key Responsibilities:
In-Store Execution & Retail Development
Lead store-level activation and merchandising execution across multiple supplier brands
Ensure compliance with planograms, seasonal initiatives, clearance programs, and sampling/trial setups.
Act as the “boots on ground” presence ensuring visibility, facings, and product health.
Account Management
Manage existing independent supermarket accounts in the region.
Build relationships with store owners, managers, and deli leads.
Resolve supply issues, manage SOH reports, and support ordering processes.
Weekly check-ins with retail partners to gather data, identify gaps, and provide field intel.
New Business Development
Identify and open new stores (focusing on high-potential independent supermarkets
Present Artisan Fine Foods’ total fresh food solution, pitching suppliers and category executions.
Collaborate tailored pitches and sample drop strategies.
Supplier Liaison
Represent supplier partners locally—act as the eyes, ears, and voice of the supplier.
Provide weekly feedback loops: what’s moving, what’s blocked, what’s trending.
Coordinate in-field tastings, seasonal promotions, and trials.
Reporting & Insights
Submit weekly recaps (photos, execution wins, competitor activity, challenges).
Capture field-level insights: pricing trends, consumer feedback, emerging SKUs.
Work with Sales Ops to feed into CRM.
Ideal Candidate:
Background in FMCG and in-store execution
Confident with face-to-face sales, problem-solving, and relationship management.
Organised with a bias for action—independent but aligned to central strategy.
Retailer network or experience with independent supermarkets is a major plus.

Previous work with independent supermarkets
Deli, cheese, charcuterie, or fresh food merchandising background.
Success Metrics:
Growth in active retail accounts and product ranging across priority banners
Retail execution quality: % of stores meeting “Artisan-grade” standards
New store conversion rate and value of new business secured
Supplier satisfaction via feedback loops and initiative delivery
Reduction in out-of-stocks and resolution time for supply issues
Retail partner engagement: feedback, reorders, and program participation
