About the role:
Council is seeking an application from an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as Senior Environmental Health Officer
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
· Applicants must hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Health or Public Health. Alternatively, individuals with an approved qualification recognised by the Victorian Department of Health must provide a Certificate of Competency or a letter confirming their endorsement to work as an Environmental Health Officer in Victoria.
· A sound theoretical and practical knowledge and extensive practical experience in environmental health programs i.e. food standards and food safety plans, infectious disease control, wastewater treatment applications, environmental and nuisance complaints investigation, water quality monitoring, and health promotion and education,
· detailed knowledge of local government procedures and practices,
· an understanding and commitment to providing a high level of customer service in line with Council’s vision.
