About the role

We are seeking an experienced Final Trim Excavator Operator to join our team at HML Civil in Mackay.

This is a casual position, at this stage we are offering short term work that could lead on to future employment.

As a Final Trim Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Operate a final trim excavator to prepare site surfaces and ensure precise levels and grades

Carry out earthworks and site preparation activities to the required specifications

Work closely with the site team to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery

Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on the excavator to keep it in optimal condition

Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience operating a final trim excavator in a construction environment

Proven ability to read and interpret site plans and construction drawings

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Current HR or HR class driver's licence

Construction White Card or equivalent safety certification
