Crown Law is seeking a Principal Lawyer to join our Workplace Law team within the Public Law Branch.
This is an opportunity to work on complex and high-profile legal matters that shape the future of workplace law in Queensland. As a senior member of the team, you'll provide expert legal advice, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to strategic decision-making at Crown Law.

Your role:
- Provide high-level legal advice and representation in Workplace Law, Industrial Relations, and Administrative Law.
- Lead and mentor a team of lawyers in handling complex and sensitive legal matters.
- Represent clients in courts and tribunals and instruct Counsel when required.
- Assist in legal training programs for client departments and Crown Law officers.
- Promote Crown Law's services and provide specialist legal guidance.
- Maintain a high-performance culture and contribute to the strategic direction of the Workplace Law team.
About you:
- Minimum six years post-admission experience in legal practice.
- Expertise in Workplace Law, Industrial Relations, and Administrative Law.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage complex legal matters independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey legal advice effectively.
- A proactive approach to self-development, including maintaining CPD points and engaging in performance feedback processes.
