Role Overview
Salute is assisting a Veteran focused RTO in finding an RTO Administrator, the RTO Administrator will provide critical support across our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) functions, with a focus on maintaining and optimising both our Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Management System (SMS). You’ll ensure seamless administration of training programs, accurate record-keeping, and timely communication with students, trainers and external stakeholders.

Veteran-led RTO dedicated to supporting and upskilling both veterans and their family members. We deliver high-quality, personalised training that acknowledges the unique skills and experiences of the veteran community, while also offering a comprehensive suite of courses to the wider public.
Key Responsibilities
LMS Administration
Configure and update course content, resources and user enrolments.
Monitor learner progress, troubleshoot access issues and generate completion reports.
Liaise with Instructional Designers and Trainers to publish new modules and assessments.
SMS Management
Enter and maintain accurate student enrolment, attendance and assessment data.
Ensure compliance with ASQA and DVA reporting requirements through timely data updates.
Produce government and internal compliance reports on training activity and outcomes.
Student Support & Communication
Respond to student enquiries via email, phone and the LMS helpdesk.
Send course reminders, access instructions and post-graduation surveys.
Coordinate scheduling of workshops, webinars and off-site assessments.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Conduct regular audits of LMS and SMS data for accuracy and policy compliance.
Assist with RTO audits and validation sessions by preparing evidence and reports.
Propose and implement enhancements to system workflows and user guides.
General Administration
Maintain digital and paper filing systems for training materials and compliance records.
Support the RTO Manager with creating course brochures, marketing collateral and training calendars.
Collaborate with finance to track invoicing and fee payments for course enrolments.
Essential Skills & Attributes
Strong working knowledge of leading LMS platforms (e.g. Moodle, aXcelerate).
Proficiency in SMS platforms (e.g. aXcelerate, RTO Manager) and CRM tools.
Exceptional attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changing compliance requirements.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification or diploma in business administration, education, training or related field.
Demonstrated experience in an administrative role within a VET or education environment.
Understanding of the ASQA standards and DVA/MEDICARE funding structures is an advantage.
