Our client is a fast-growing multi-franchise dealership in Gunnedah, Northwest NSW with a dedicated team, modern workshop, and a strong focus on providing quality service to their customers. They represent several globally renowned brands and provide sales, service and parts offerings to customers in Gunnedah and the wider Namoi Valley community.
About the role
Join a busy, modern dealership where you'll handle diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs on multiple brands and used vehicles. You'll work Monday to Friday—no weekends—using the latest tools in a clean, well-equipped workshop. Duties
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs on a variety of passenger vehicles including Nissan, Isuzu, Mazda, and used cars
- Accurately complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer and dealership standards
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), logbook services, and roadworthy checks
- Maintain accurate records of work completed for warranty, audit, and service history purposes
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and workshop control regarding job progress and any additional work required
- Follow all workshop processes and safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Stay current with technical bulletins and attend ongoing manufacturer training as needed
- Support apprentices and contribute to a positive, team-focused culture
Skills and experience
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) – essential
- Valid Motor Mechanic Trade Licence
- 2–3+ years' experience in a dealership or workshop setting
- Solid skills in servicing, light diagnostics, and mechanical repairs
- Able to read and follow technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and OEM guidelines
- Familiar with warranty repair procedures (preferred, not essential)
- Confident using diagnostic scan tools and workshop software
- Reliable, punctual, and focused on high-quality work
- Valid Australian driver’s licence (manual preferred)
