Care Ambassador (EN or RN) – Community Care Leadership Role

Nurse Next Door Macarthur is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Care Ambassador (Enrolled or Registered Nurse) to help our clients experience safety, comfort, and happiness in their homes. You’ll also play a key leadership role, supporting and guiding a dedicated team of caregivers and nurses who share your passion for delivering exceptional care.
This role may also be known as a Community Care Coordinator or Clinical Team Leader in other organisations.
About the Role
Part-time: 3:00pm – 8:00pm Monday to Friday
On-call: Alternate weeks (on-call allowance applies)
Alternative arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
This is a unique opportunity offering a 50/50 balance of hands-on support and care coordination. You'll play a vital role in ensuring service continuity, stepping in to cover client visits as needed (e.g. last-minute sick leave or urgent, unscheduled visits).

Design personalised, meaningful care plans for aged and NDIS clients
Oversee client clinical care and ensure high standards of documentation
Lead and support a team of care professionals

Who We're Looking For
You’re a self-motivated nurse who’s ready to take the next step into leadership while remaining closely connected to client care.
You will bring:
AHPRA registration as an EN or RN (unrestricted)
2+ years of nursing experience (community, acute, aged care, or disability)
Natural empathy and strong rapport-building skills
Flexibility to support both clinical and in-home care needs
Excellent written and verbal communication
Willingness to be on-call every second week
Proficiency in mobile/desktop apps and Google Suite
A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working With Children Check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Valid Australian driver’s licence
National Police Check (Aged Care/Vulnerable Persons – preferred)
Preferred:
Triple COVID-19 vaccination + annual flu vaccine
First Aid and CPR (within 12 months)
Experience with catheter and wound care
