Adecco is partnering with a major retail and warehouse organisation to recruit a WHS Regional Supervisor to oversee workplace health and safety across their operations in Australia and New Zealand. This permanent, full-time role is based in Sydney and reports directly to the Regional Director.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead safety governance, drive system improvements, and foster a strong safety culture across multiple locations while working within a structured and supportive environment.
As WHS Regional Supervisor, you will be a critical link between the Regional Director, site managers, and frontline teams. You’ll ensure WHS compliance, manage incident investigations, and lead the transition to a new WHS management system aligned with self-insurance compliance.
The role requires regular travel (approximately 1–2 trips per month) across interstate and New Zealand sites, with all expenses fully reimbursed promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead WHS governance and risk management initiatives across multiple sites in line with Australian and New Zealand legislation
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and policies, including the transition to self-insurance frameworks
Manage serious incident investigations and root cause analyses
Conduct WHS audits and site visits to assess compliance and recommend improvements
Develop and deliver WHS training and due diligence sessions for senior officers and site personnel
Liaise with regulators and prepare compliance reports and correspondence as needed
Collaborate with operational leaders to embed safety into daily business practices
Assist with workers compensation processes and regulatory reporting
About You:
You’re a proactive, experienced WHS professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for safety. You’re comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and skilled at balancing compliance with practical safety solutions.
You will bring:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a WHS supervisory or advisory role, preferably across multi-site operations
Proven experience with self-insurance compliance and WHS system transitions
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and incident management best practices
Experience leading safety audits, training, and reporting
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly interstate and to NZ
