💻 About the Role

As an App Developer at Code Heroes, you’ll work alongside a tight-knit, agile team to design, build, and deliver software solutions using Flutter and modern cloud technologies.

You’ll take part in all phases of development – from ideation and prototyping through to deployment and optimisation – with a strong focus on writing clean, maintainable, reusable code.

Design, develop, and maintain Flutter-based applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems

Participate in agile ceremonies and deliver fast, iterative updates

Work proactively to resolve technical challenges and blockers

Stay current with the latest technologies and development best practices

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

3+ years of commercial software development experience

1+ year of Flutter development

Bonus Points For:

Firebase experience

Appium experience

A11y experience

AWS experience

📍 The Details

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 + Super (based on experience)

Type: Initial full-time fixed term, ASAP to 29/12/2025, with potential to go permanent

Location: Remote (Must be based in Australia)

Days/times: Monday–Friday. We operate with core hours from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM AEST, during which team members are expected to be available and focused. Outside of these hours, your schedule is flexible, allowing you to work when it suits you best.

We’re also looking for a developer with an AI-first mindset — someone who doesn't just write code, but designs systems that work with and supervise AI.

This is an initial 12 months contract with possible extension.

You might be the one if:

You’re confident building with mobile (Flutter, React Native) and web (React) stacks.

You’re experienced with AWS, CI/CD, and automating everything — especially testing.

You can work autonomously, keep things organised, and know when to escalate or sync.

You think like a system designer, not just a coder — you track what the AI does, why, and how.

You validate the AI’s outputs critically, ensuring everything meets requirements and makes sense.

You’ve worked in remote teams and use tools like Cursor, Windsurf, and other AI dev tools.

You're obsessed with making things better — faster, more accurate, more scalable.

Bonus Points:

Experience training or fine-tuning AI tools or workflows.

Strong documentation habits (especially for AI-human handoffs).
