Monday, Wednesday and Friday with 25.18 hours per week
$61,711 to $69,450 pro-rata, (dependent on skills experience) + 12% super starting 1 July 2025.
This opportunity is reserved for current CoM employees.
About the role
The Assistant Early Childhood Educator sits within the Community Wellbeing branch and offers an exciting opportunity to provide education and care to over 200 children each week within the North Melbourne Children's Centre.
This role plays a key part in delivering impactful outcomes for our community and supporting the strategic goals of the City of Melbourne.
A little more about the role
Assist with the plan, implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate education and care programs.
Provide supervision and personal care to each child while maintaining an environment that supports their health and safety needs and is in accordance with centre policies and procedures.
Ensure all concerns are raised with appropriate person based on concern.
Comply with all OHS polices, procedures and requirements and will take reasonable care to protect their own and others health and safety.
About you
You are a community connector, comfortable with facilitating implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate education and care programs. You bring passion, insight, and collaboration to everything you do.
What your experience might look like
Have a working knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
Approved Certificate III children's services qualification or approved equivalent qualification in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
Satisfactory Police and Working with Children checks.
Current Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates.
Proven ability to work effectively with children, families and staff to achieve the best outcomes for children.
