The Role:
As a Communications Officer, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and distributing clear, engaging, and accessible content tailored to a diverse stakeholder audience. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the organisation’s web and social media presence while supporting strategic initiatives with creative communication solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality written, visual, and audio content across various platforms.
- Manage and update website and social media channels to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Support ongoing improvement of communication tools, templates, and workflows.
- Implement communications strategies that inform, engage, and support key stakeholders.
- Advise internal teams on communication best practices and accessibility standards.
- Ensure content reflects current policy and program updates across the organisation.
- Deliver a range of communications-related projects aligned with organisational goals.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in communications, media, or digital content roles.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on plain English and accessibility.
- Experience managing content for websites and social media.
- A creative, solution-focused mindset with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Understanding of public sector communication standards and professional ethics.
