Talent Focus in partnership with our client are seeking an After-Sales Service Engineer based in their Sydney head office.
You will be responsible for servicing and supporting our client’s suite of dental and pain therapy equipment across Australia and New Zealand. Your work will ensure customer satisfaction through installation, maintenance, fault resolution, technical training, and ongoing client support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and calibrate medical devices at customer sites in compliance with company standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field or remotely, addressing both mechanical and electronic issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance visits and ensure devices are maintained to maximise uptime and performance.
- Provide technical training to clinical users, including dental professionals and physiotherapists, on safe and effective operation of products.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activity including service reports, root cause analysis, and compliance documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor and service partner.
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, and R&D by providing feedback and product insights from the field.
- Travel across Australia and New Zealand as required, with occasional after-hours or on-call support.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in field service engineering, preferably with medical or dental devices, lab equipment, or precision instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of electronics, mechanics, and software diagnostics.
- High attention to detail with accurate documentation and reporting capability.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; comfortable training clinical users and interacting with a broad customer base.
- Willingness to travel regularly and work independently in a field-based environment.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
