We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and growing public practice firm in Coburg. You'll manage a portfolio of SME clients and be a key contributor to a collaborative, high-performing team.

About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of SME clients, delivering accurate tax compliance, clear business advice, and building lasting client relationships. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a supportive team, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued success of the firm.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including Financial Statements, Tax Returns, BAS, FBT & more
• Provide clear, practical advice on complex tax and business matters
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients
• Lead by example and support junior team members with mentoring and coaching
• Balance compliance with commercial insight in your decision-making
• Work collaboratively with the broader team to meet deadlines and exceed expectations

This candidate MUST HAVE prior Public Practice Accounting Experience.

What We’re Looking For
✔️ 5+ years’ experience in public practice accounting
✔️ CA or CPA qualified
✔️ Strong technical skills across tax compliance and advisory
✔️ Excellent communication – able to simplify complex issues
✔️ Organised, efficient, and thrives under pressure
✔️ Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and cloud accounting systems
✔️ Passion for delivering exceptional client service
✔️ Willingness to lead and coach junior staff
