Halifax Mechanical and Engineering (HME) is a growing family-owned business in the Southwest of WA. We complete projects locally, in Perth and all over WA. We specialise in cranes, and complete maintenance, repairs, annual and major inspections.

Qualifications & experience

Australian recognised Trade certificate

Positive outgoing approach and attitude to all tasks

Maintenance and servicing experience on heavy mobile equipment, prime movers and trailers, trucks/ buses, EWPs. Experience working on mobile cranes such as Liebherr, Tadano, Franna (highly desirable, however we will train and upskill the right candidate from all mechanical backgrounds)

Experience working in planned and reactive maintenance environments

Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills

Strong time management skills

Computer literate

High attention to detail with the ability to complete paperwork and service records accurately

Driver's license (HR preferred) and Construction white card

High risk work license, forklift, dogging, basic rigging, EWP preferred, but not essential

The ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screen

Local based role (Bunbury), FIFO positions are available if desired (additional pay benefits)

Tasks & responsibilities

Servicing and repair of various machinery (including cranes, excavators, generators, trucks etc.)

Carry out scheduled maintenance to keep equipment running at its best.

Accurately complete service reports and maintenance records/ service sheets

Abide to safe work rules and regulations.
