About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Jimmy's Mobile Mechanics Pty Ltd in Malaga, Western Australia. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment used in the transport and logistics industry.

What you'll be doing

Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other heavy-duty vehicle components

Performing scheduled maintenance and services on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles

Repairing and replacing faulty parts, ensuring vehicles are returned to optimal working condition

Maintaining detailed records of all work carried out and parts used

Providing expert advice and guidance to customers on the maintenance and care of their vehicles

Working closely with the team to ensure efficient operations and high levels of customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in heavy-duty diesel mechanics or a similar field

Strong technical expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other heavy-duty vehicle components

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex issues

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service

Good communication skills to liaise with customers and provide clear explanations of work undertaken

A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
