About the role

We are seeking a casual Personal Care Assistant/Assistant in Nursing to join our team at Evermore Living Care in Forster, NSW. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalised care and support to our residents. Your primary focus will be to assist with daily living activities and ensure the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of our valued residents.

What you'll be doing

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

Help with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration

Provide companionship and engage residents in social and recreational activities

Monitor and report on residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being

Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents

Collaborate with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care

What we're looking for

A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification

First Aid & CPR Certificate

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an aged care or homecare setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and build trust with residents

Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of the elderly

Excellent time management and organisational skills

A team player with a positive, flexible, and proactive attitude

Personal smart phone to access schedule

A current police check and the right to work in Australia

Drivers licence

Willingness to do overnight shifts
