Settlers Apartments are seeking Aged Care – Carers to join our friendly and welcoming team to provide hands-on support to our residents. This is a casual role, offering work/life balance and flexibility to work around your schedule. Settlers Apartments are located in Estella, a short drive from Wagga Wagga.

Your day to day:

Providing high-quality professional care assistance to ensure our residents receive safe, effective and appropriate care interventions

Assisting clients with personal care activities such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting

Assist with meal servings and medication, if required

Providing support for daily living tasks including light housekeeping

Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Undertaking administrative activities - maintain accurate records and reporting

Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure high quality, person-centred care

Assist residents with external and/or internal transport as required

Working across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays

Skills / Attributes

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with residents

Strong administrative, verbal and written communication skills

A respectful, patient, and compassionate nature

Flexibility and reliability, with a resident-focused attitude

A commitment to high ethical standards

Qualifications & Experience

Experience providing direct care and support to older people

Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (Individual Support, Home & Community, Disability or equivalent)

Current First Aid required

Criminal background check or willing to obtain one

A current Class 3 Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle

Competitive hourly rates from $41.59 – $66.54 per hour (Direct Care - Level 3), including casual loading and penalties (Aged Care Award 2010).
