JOB DETAILS:

We are seeking experienced Psychologists and Accredited Mental Health Social Workers to join a dedicated veteran mental health service. This role offers the chance to deliver evidence-based support to those who have served, through individualised therapy, diagnostic assessments, and comprehensive case management. Work with a team that values collaboration, compassion, and excellence, and provide care across in-person and telehealth settings. You will support adult clients with service-related mental health challenges, guiding them through tailored recovery and transition pathways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments using DSM-5 criteria
• Delivering individualised, evidence-based psychological interventions
• Supporting DVA claims with accurate clinical documentation
• Participating in peer supervision, case reviews and stakeholder engagement
• Collaborating across clinical and multidisciplinary teams to ensure wraparound care

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology or Mental Health Social Work
• Current AHPRA registration or AASW accreditation
• Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment and treatment
• Strong clinical documentation and report writing skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Familiarity with the challenges faced by the veteran community

DESIRABLE:

• Experience working with the Australian veteran population
• Understanding of military culture and service-related mental health needs

• Police Check and Working With Children Check
• Public Liability and Indemnity Insurance
• CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Proof of Immunisation or Serology Report
