Nesh Legal Pty Ltd is a boutique firm with offices in Sandringham (operating as Tragear & Harris Lawyers) and in Mornington (operating as Mornington Legal).

We have an exciting opportunity for a solicitor with at least 4 years’ experience who can manage their own files and work autonomously to join our Mornington office for an immediate start.

Mornington Legal - our Mornington based office is looking for a team player to independently manage their own files and oversee junior staff members.

We are interested in someone who has a broad base of legal knowledge and has a keen passion for Wills and Deceased Estates.

Qualifications & experience

Must be an established qualified lawyer a minimum of 4 years plus post-admission experience. Candidates with greater experience will be more favourably considered.

Current Practicing Certificate

Good knowledge of Wills and Estate Planning, including testamentary trusts and powers of attorney

Good knowledge of taxation relating to deceased estates

Good knowledge of application for grants of probate or letters of administration including complex applications

Good knowledge of Will Contests, Will Challenges, Estate Disputes and Family Provision Claims

Experience with LEAP Legal Software would be advantageous

Tasks & responsibilities

Conferences with clients.

Handling your own files autonomously.

Attending Court.

Corresponding with the other professional colleagues, Counsel and Court.

Preparing Court Documents.

Mentoring and guiding other junior staff members.

Assisting with general office duties.
