About the role

Hey team!
We are looking for a skipper to teach Recreational Boat and Jetski Licences on the Sunshine Coast.

With fiery growth over the past 6 months, we're now looking for our next skipper to take on either a casual or permanent part time role, working between 3-4 days per week.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing fidelity training, education and assessment to our customers looking to get their boat and jetski licences in QLD.

What you'll be doing

Delivering the QLD Boatsafe Training Program on both the boat (RMDL) and jetski (PWC)

Conducting both theoretical and practical training to ensure trainees develop the necessary skills and knowledge

Assessing trainee competencies and providing detailed feedback to support their development

Update training materials to reflect the latest industry standards and best practices

Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all trainees

What you'll need:

Minimum coxswain grade II NC, with 2 years experience.

Recreational boat and jetski licence, held for at least 2 years

Current First Aid + CPR Qualification

Experience in delivering vocational training in a similar industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices

These qualifications necessary to work as a QLD Boatsafe Training Provider, but we for the right person, will work with you to attain these together.

TAEDEL301 - Provide work skill instruction

TAEASS402 - Assess competence

TAEDEL401 - Plan, organise and delivery group-based training

What we offer

$50 per hour casual hourly rate.

$25 meal allowance per day regardless of length.

Min 15 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 30 hours as Spring approaches.
