About the role

This is a full-time Inventory Controller position based in Shellharbour, NSW. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient inventory levels and processes to support the ongoing operations of this leading distribution company.

What you'll be doing

Manage all aspects of inventory control, including purchasing, receiving, storage, and distribution

Monitor inventory levels and stock movements to identify trends and optimise inventory strategies

Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock and manage vendor relationships

Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes

Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records

Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions

Provide reporting and analysis to support inventory and procurement decision-making

Collaborate cross-functionally to align inventory with supply and sales forecasts

What we're looking for

3+ years' experience in an inventory control or procurement role, ideally in a distribution or manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices

Proficient with inventory management software and ERP systems

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory issues

Highly organised with a keen eye for detail to maintain accurate inventory records

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and cross-functional teams

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve operational goals
