What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Manager, Digital and Online Communication, this role will be responsible for:
Writing, editing and producing web content and digital assets in line with accessibility guidelines and organisational and government style guides
Publishing through our content management system (Sitecore) and mass-messaging communication platform (Whispir), ensuring information published is accurate, accessible and timely
Managing digital projects and initiatives as a subject matter expert, including creating detailed project plans, web change plans, and developing strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation
Continued optimisation and improvement of our digital assets through methods such as user testing, audits, reporting and analytics, and web governance platforms
What you will bring to the role
Significant demonstrated experience with website content management systems and mass-messaging platforms (email and SMS)
High quality writing and editing skills for web and digital content
Demonstrated experience in the application of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), style guides, and user experience best practice
Experience in leading the successful delivery of digital projects with strong stakeholder management skills
Commitment to the VEC's core values

The Victorian Electoral Commission is an independent and impartial statutory authority established under Victoria's Electoral Act 2002.
The VEC conducts Victorian State elections, local council elections, certain statutory elections and polls, and commercial and community elections.
