The role focuses on improving community participation in correct waste practices, reducing contamination, supporting contract performance, and addressing key issues such as dumped rubbish and hard waste. - Consult with and deliver waste minimisation and behaviour change programs to various groups, including schools, sporting clubs, event organizers, internal departments, and culturally diverse communities to encourage sustainable practices.
- Ensure educational and behaviour change programs are monitored, reviewed, and revised for effectiveness, utilising waste recycling data, key performance indicators, observations, and feedback.
- Oversee the implementation and review of Waste Audit processes, monitoring and reporting on measures and outcomes, while developing and implementing initiatives to improve recycling rates, reduce contamination, and address dumped rubbish and hard waste issues.
