The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Property Officer to join our dedicated Legal and Property Team, reporting to the Property Coordinator. This role is permanent full time role based at the Melton Civic Centre.
Come and contribute to the specialist administration of Council’s land and property portfolio (including public land, crown land and roads) in line with best practice, corporate policies and procedures, directives and legislative requirements. You will play a key role in the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure effective community consultation to protect Councils interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end lease and licence administration.
- Ensure Council’s properties are utilised and managed in accordance with lease and licence agreements.
- Monitor Council’s property leasing budget including status reports, budget forecasting and profiling of lease income.
- Provide property advice and support to internal and external customers on property matters.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Degree or diploma in a related field with some relevant experience, or lesser formal qualifications and substantial relevant experience.
- Relevant knowledge and skills with industry experience and at least [1-3] years’ experience in property leasing / coordination and facilities related activity required.
- Experience in engaging with community and conducting consultations on property-related issues.
- Sound understanding and demonstrated experience in the property administration area.
