Salary starting from $140,836
About the role
Are you aspiring to excel in the field of Waste Services? We are currently in search of a motivated Waste Services leader to join our team and have a significant impact on the Waste Business Unit.
If you are passionate about environmental sustainability, we welcome you to lead and supervise our team of officers and contractors responsible for managing waste collection, recycling collection, resource recovery, landfill operations and waste education. In the role of Coordinator of Waster Services, you will be instrumental in spearheading innovative waste, recycling and resource recovery projects in the City.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, planning, and overseeing a small team within your authorised scope in the daily and future operations of the Waste Services department.
- Supervising daily operations the maintenance, renewal, and enhancement of assets within the water business unit, such as the Wastewater Network, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Recycled Water Network, and SCADA. Ensuring adherence to Regulatory Licensing, Compliance, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

To be considered for this position, you will need:
Passionate about the environment and sustainability.
- Proficient in administrative, asset management, planning, organisational, and customer service skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capable of working independently with a proactive and innovative approach to process improvement.
- Background in Environmental Science or related field is preferred.
- Experience in overseeing processing facilities and/or managing operational teams of comparable or larger scale is highly preferred.
