Qualifications & experience

You must be willing to learn, follow procedures accurately, and work systematically. Previous experience in the funeral industry is welcome but not essential—experienced applicants are encouraged to apply.

Preparing for funeral services, including assisting in their conduct.

Obtaining signatures on certificates of identification and other prepared forms.

Collecting and arranging forms in the correct order for signing and posting.

Using checklists to prepare for funerals, organising 3–4 clipboards per service, and folding memorial stationery.

Using a smartphone to send and receive SMS messages promptly.

Loading paper into printers as needed.

Visiting family members to obtain signatures and walk them through a simple checklist.

Delivering cremated remains to families or designated locations.

Transferring coffined remains to or from funeral homes, churches, chapels, private residences, and other venues.

Performing basic stock control and cleaning duties.

Driving hearses and company vehicles (all automatic transmission).

Assisting in the mortuary as required.
