MJM Consulting Engineers are an established, leading local Engineering Company seeking an experienced Structural Draftsperson to join our growing business.

The position is for a full-time Structural Draftsperson at our Wagga Wagga office to develop quality working drawings for residential, commercial and light industrial developments using AutoCAD and Revit. Remuneration will depend on level of experience.

If successful you will be joining an established local company in the Riverina area.

Duties of the Position

In your role, you’ll be a key contributor, working with the structural engineering team to produce precise and comprehensive drawings that meet client specifications across a variety of projects, utilising tools like AutoCAD and Revit, including but not limited to:

· Reinforced concrete (footings/slabs).

· Structural steel.

· Pre-cast elements.

For residential, commercial and industrial projects.

You will be integral in coordinating with the team to establish and uphold a timeline for the tasks at hand and their respective outcomes. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for offering pertinent technical guidance and backing to crucial segments of the business.

Skills and Experience

A structural draftsperson with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a design office.

Experienced in using both AutoCAD and Revit (Revit not essential).

Understanding of the requirements of NCC and Australian Standards.

Capable of comprehending and interpreting both structural and architectural drawings.

Keen eye for detail in creating structural drawings for a range of structures, from initial concept to detailed design and documentation. Also willing to sketch out a problem manually.

Responsible for creating and adhering to a timeline for assigned tasks and related deliverables.

Quality written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
