The opportunity:

Full-time – fixed term 12-month contract with possibility of extension.

Level 5 – salary range $78,197-$84,288 per annum depending upon qualifications and experience.

Located at our Eaton Administration Centre.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Senior Governance Officer to lead our customer service operations. In this key role, you’ll oversee service delivery, ensure compliance with governance standards, and drive operational excellence across the organisation.

What you’ll do:

Supervise reception and Customer Service Officers, ensuring high-quality service aligned with the Customer Service Charter.

Provide accurate governance support including research and analysis, and management of incoming administration support requests.

Maintain governance registers for delegations, annual returns and related party disclosures via the Attain System, ensuring legislative compliance.

About you:

Proven experience in high-level administration and customer service role, preferably within local government setting.

Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills to build trust and manage diverse responsibilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication, with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

Advanced computer skills and the ability to produce professional documents, reports, agendas, and meeting minutes.
