About You
You are a compassionate and skilled practitioner with a deep commitment to supporting children, young people, and families through trauma-informed care. With a background in social work, psychology, or a related field, you bring significant experience in the child and family services sector and a strong understanding of therapeutic frameworks especially TBRI. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate with empathy and clarity, and are driven by values of respect, kindness, and integrity. Youu are organised, resilient, and ready to make a lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most.
Skills & Attributes
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in the Child and Family Services sector, particularly supporting children and young people with complex needs.
- Skilled in therapeutic case management, with a deep understanding of the TBRI framework and the Best Interests Case Practice Model.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children, families, carers, and professionals.

Cafs (Child and Family Services Ballarat) is an independent community service organisation based in Ballarat for over 160 years. We provide over 50 programs across a range of service areas providing care for clients within communities across the central highland region.
