Wholegreen Bakery is an award winning artisan bakery based in Alexandria, NSW we have cafes in Bondi Junction, Sydney, Alexandria and more cafe's planned in the next 6 months! The bakery started almost 10 years ago and we have eciting growth plans. Operating 7 days a week for take away and as well, online orders, deliveries, catering, Hotels, restaurants, wholesale, Harris Farm Markets bread supply and more. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Baker to join our bread production team.

Qualifications & experience

Must have experience working in a commercial/production bakery with full-time Australian working rights (permanent resident/citizen) as this job is taxed with TFN. At this point in time we are not able to offer sponsorship to candidates.

Experienced in making high volume bread doughs, pastry doughs, molding, shaping, proving, scoring and baking bread.

Strong oven time management and commitment to completing HACCP records for batch numbers/ingredient tracability.

We are looking for a reliable team member that has a positive attitude and wants to grow with our business long term. Minimum of 2 years of commercial baking experience and flexibility for roster changes in the future based on business expansion.

Tasks & responsibilities

This role is 5 days x 8 hour shifts = 40 hours per week, no early morning starts. Potential for weekend shifts in the future. Peak periods are Christmas and Easter.

Be able to lift raw ingredient bags of up to 25kg at a time. Follow recipes for and calculate batch sizes daily.

Must be able to follow instructions and be organised. Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness practices every shift.

Possess problem-solving skills to identify if products under-proofed/over-proofed, over-mixed, under baked or baked too long. Striving to make consistent beautiful, delicious artisan breads.
