Are you a dedicated and experienced nurse with a passion for clinical leadership and patient care? Albany Health Campus is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for our General Surgical Ward, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice and patient care.
In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing the quality of care delivered in the Surgical Ward. Your expertise will help foster collaborative relationships with clients, carers, and healthcare teams, ensuring safe and effective healthcare delivery. You will manage both human and material resources effectively, all while promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in surgical nursing to a multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinate and implement quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Develop, promote, and evaluate nursing practice standards, ensuring compliance with professional codes and guidelines.
- Oversee the efficient utilisation of resources, including budget control and staff recruitment.
- Act as a clinical resource, advising on clinical governance and best practices in patient care.
- Lead and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure culturally safe nursing services are provided to diverse patient populations.
Ideal Candidate:
- You have well-developed clinical and managerial skills with a good grasp of quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience in surgical nursing and managing healthcare teams is essential.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources efficiently for optimal patient care.
- Proficient in using computer systems for policy access and online training.
- Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements impacting nursing practice.
- A passion for leadership and fostering a supportive working environment.
