We are recruiting on behalf of a Queensland Government department for an experienced Business Support Officer to join a busy team focused on training coordination and administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable administrator with strong Excel skills and a proactive approach!

In this role, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of staff training programs, including:

  • Sending calendar invites, reminders and communication to staff.
  • Booking and preparing onsite and offsite training venues and classrooms.
  • Maintaining accurate training records, attendance sheets and schedules.
  • Preparing and distributing training materials and feedback forms.
  • Assisting with reports on training activities and results.
  • Coordinating training nominations, registrations and logistics.
  • Following up with staff via phone and email to confirm attendance.
  • Liaising with external training providers to obtain quotes and course dates.
  • Requesting purchase orders through Procurement where required.

About You:
To be considered for this AO3 role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in administration and internal customer service.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (essential).
  • Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proven ability to manage your time, prioritise tasks and work autonomously.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
