Mechanical Trade Assistant

Workshop and Site Work Available
Location: Tingalpa & Various Sites Around Brisbane

The Opportunity

Due to new contracts being awarded, BDR Stainless is looking for Mechanical Trade Assistants to join our team. We are known for our positive team culture, commitment to challenges, and delivering quality, on-time solutions to our clients.

This role is suited for an experienced and quality-focused Trade Assistant with background in:

Stainless Steel (Structural, Tube, and Pipe)

Mild Steel (Structural, and Pipe)

Aluminium (Structural, and Tube)

Fixed Plant Site Installations

You’ll work at our Tingalpa workshop and on Water Treatment Plant sites around Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

Work in a fabrication workshop and on active construction sites

Operate a variety of hand and power tools

Follow and uphold safe work practices

Maintain punctuality and reliability across all shifts

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience:

Industry experience (preferably in stainless/mild/aluminium steel)

Workshop and onsite experience

Proficiency with tools (hand/power)

Strong understanding of WHS standards

Attention to detail and effective time management

Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Certifications:

White Card (Construction Induction Card)

Manual Driver’s Licence

Forklift Ticket (advantage, not essential)

High Risk Licences (advantage, not essential)

WAH & Confined Space

Personal Traits:

Reliable and dependable

Safety-conscious

Motivated, proactive, and punctual

Able to work independently or as part of a team

Willing to learn and embrace innovation

Position Details

Type: Casual with opportunity to transition to full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Overtime: Available when required

Start Date: Immediate for the right candidate
