The Role:
Working alongside our external IT team you will assist our creative team of designers and technicians providing hands on IT Support to ensure the smooth running of the Microsoft Desktops and wider Microsoft Network. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or soon-to-graduate students completing an Information Technology-based course to kickstart their careers in IT, with the opportunity to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities:
End-User Support & Troubleshooting
Act as the first point of contact for technical support requests from internal users.
Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
Set up, configure, and deploy Windows 10/11 devices and peripherals (printers, scanners, monitors).
Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Infrastructure Support
Assist in the configuration and support of on-premises infrastructure running on Hyper-V hosts and iSCSI SAN.
Monitor and check backup solutions (e.g., Veeam Backup) and perform file restores when required.
Assist in managing Active Directory users, groups, and Group Policies.
Routine IT Tasks
Monitor system alerts, perform health checks on servers and networks, and escalate issues where necessary.
Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
Assist with patch management and system updates for servers and client machines.
Support mobile devices and ensure they comply with company security policies.
Project & Communication
Handle follow-up technical issues and participate in resolving them to completion.
Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
Provide regular updates to Team Leads and participate in project-related tasks.
Requirements:
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of Windows 10/Windows 11 environments.
Foundation knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V, and backup solutions like Veeam.
Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Group Policy management.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration is a plus.
PowerShell/scripting knowledge is advantageous.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
Soft Skills
Strong focus on customer satisfaction with a professional and approachable attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
A friendly and down-to-earth personality who can work well in a team and handle challenges with a sense of humour.
