About Us
We’re thrilled to be opening the doors to our brand-new centre in Burpengary! At Curiosity Tree Early Education, we believe that a child’s wellbeing begins with nourishing food and a warm, welcoming environment. This is your opportunity to be part of setting up our brand-new centre kitchen and shaping a healthy, delicious food culture from the ground up.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cook who is passionate about nutrition, creativity in the kitchen, and the important role food plays in early learning.

Your Role
As our Centre Cook, you’ll be a key member of our foundation team. You’ll take ownership of designing and preparing fresh, seasonal, and nutritious meals for children aged 0-5, ensuring all dietary needs are catered for. You’ll also have the opportunity to introduce food-based learning and help children build positive relationships with healthy eating.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks aligned with nutrition and dietary guidelines

Cater to allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in line with food safety regulations

Collaborate with the team to develop engaging, seasonal menus

Communicate with families about children’s nutritional needs

Offer fun and educational cooking experiences for children where possible

What You’ll Bring:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

Food Handling and Food Safety Certificates

Experience in a similar role, ideally in early childhood or school settings

Understanding of children’s nutritional requirements

Ability to manage dietary needs and allergies confidently

Strong time management and kitchen organisation skills

A warm, team-oriented attitude and love for working with children
