The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Senior Account Manager who is very hands on, positive, highly motivated, has excellent client relationship skills, is financially responsible for forecasting and has exceptional attention to detail. You need to be reliable, punctual and always be thinking one step ahead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident managing complex client relationships, delivering integrated and digital projects end-to-end, and is hungry to take on more strategic leadership responsibilities.

You’ll lead high-profile accounts, build strong client partnerships, oversee multiple projects simultaneously, and help mentor and guide junior team members — all while positioning yourself to take the next step in your career – someone who is ready to grow into an Account Director position.

Key Responsibilities

Account & Project Management

Manage projects end-to-end, from taking the brief to execution, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines and budgets.

Coordinate internal teams (creative, strategy, digital, production) and external suppliers as needed.

Oversee multiple projects or campaigns concurrently, ensuring quality and profitability.

Maintain project documentation including SOWs, estimates, WIPs, schedules, and reporting.

Proactively identify and manage risks and challenges to keep work on track.

Client Relationships & Strategy

Develop and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with clients, acting as the key point of contact.

Build a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, brands and objectives.

Confidently present work, contribute to strategic discussions and provide insights to add value.

Think strategically, pre-empting potential blockers/areas of risk (escalating as needed).

Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts – or ‘next best conversations.

Play an active role in pitches and new business presentations.

Financial & Commercial Management

Take responsibility for forecasting, budgeting, estimating and invoicing on your accounts.

Monitor financial performance of projects to ensure profitability and efficiency.

Report regularly on account status and performance to senior management.

Team Leadership & Development

Support, brief and motivate junior account team members and project coordinators.

Contribute to a positive team culture, helping maintain high standards and morale.

Provide guidance, feedback and mentorship to help grow the wider team.

Be ready to step into more senior responsibilities and decision-making as you progress towards an Account Director role.

Key Skills & Attributes

4+ years’ experience in account management within a digital, creative or integrated agency.

Proven experience delivering digital campaigns, web builds or technical projects.

Excellent client relationship management and presentation skills.

Strong project management skills, with experience managing timelines, resources, budgets and teams.

Strategic mindset with an eye for identifying opportunities to grow client accounts.

Financially astute with experience managing estimates, budgets and invoicing.

Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

Positive, energetic and solutions-focused approach.

Confident working both autonomously and collaboratively.

Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Smartsheets/MS Project, bug tracking tools, and digital ad-serving technologies is desirable.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, Design or a related field, OR equivalent relevant experience.
