Industrial Project Electrician at WSI

We are seeking a motivated Industrial Electrician, willing to work as part of a site-based project team in delivering Australia’s first automated cargo terminal at the new Western Sydney International Airport, Badgerys Creek. You will be expected to work with world class cargo handling machines/systems in secured environments, fulfilling the following roles:

Electrical installation of heavy-duty machines and automated systems including elevating transfer vehicles, AS/RS stacker cranes, and purpose-built heavy-duty hoists.

Electrical fault finding on automated system for equipment such as elevating transfer vehicles, stacker cranes, hoists and other machinery.

Ensuring electrical equipment and installations are installed and tested in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations

Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.

Actively engage and support aspects of site works such as equipment installation, testing, commissioning and site co-ordination.

Key Requirements:

Qualified Electrician with experience in PLC-controlled hydraulic and mechanically driven systems.

Good written and verbal communication skills (English).

Security Clearances: Ability to pass Federal Police Checks and obtain an ASIC Card.

Testing: Must pass a Drug & Alcohol Test.
