We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Enhancement Aide to join our dynamic school and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students. Our Girls' Secondary School is seeking an excellent 1:1 Learning Enhancement Aide to join our team of dedicated educators in a permanent, 31 hours per week role.
About the role:
To support one particular high needs student with their physical, emotional and learning needs over 5 days a week.
Be responsible for coordinating with the relevant school staff to ensure all needs are met.
To make themselves and the student they are assisting, a part of the whole class setting rather than an isolated unit within the classroom.
Assist the student with adaptive/assistive technology if need be.
Assist with creating alternate tasks for the student.
Taking notes and providing administrative support to ensure adherence maintained.
About You:
A good ability to work independently and take initiative to plan and complete tasks.
To be aware of the teacher's expectations of the students in the class and to support teachers in the modification of student's programs.
Previous experience will be required working with children/students with specialised and complex learning needs.
Experience working in social work or counselling/teaching will be advantageous.
A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.
