JT Building Projects is a leading high-end custom home & renovations builder based on the Gold Coast and we are currently seeking an experienced leading hand carpenter to join our growing team.

The right applicant will have the opportunity to work within an energetic and motivated team, to work on a range of different residential projects and to help deliver quality homes for our clients.

Qualifications & experience

5+ years carpentry experience in high end new homes or renovations

Experience in residential construction from site set-up until completion

Excellent problem solving skills and a great work ethic

Possession of all carpentry tools and reliable transportation to job sites

Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time

Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers

Experience with townhouse developments beneficial.

Tasks & responsibilities

Read and interpret architectural plans, structural plans and interior details.

Lead the team and set the standard for quality workmanship on site

Constructing/installing wall frames, flooring systems and roof trusses.

Constructing concrete formwork and installing steel reinforcement.

Installing doors and windows.

Installing cladding, internal doors, architraves and skirting.

Set tasks for labourers, apprentices and trades assistants.
