MGN Civil require a Civil Supervisor for 6 months to deliver a complex marine civil project in Southeast Queensland. This role will ensure effective quality supervision of a small team of operators and will work closely with our project manager to ensure we deliver on our client’s expectations. The ideal applicant will have strong civil construction or marine experience, and management skills.

MGN Civil is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to work on new project at St Lucia in Brisbane.

The role will be responsible for managing our skilled operators, hands on with implementing the day-to-day construction methods whilst proactively ensuring our performance is of a high quality, and safety standard.

The supervisor will support the project manager to meet the desired quality, WHS, environmental management, and contract goals. It is vital you are able to build relationships with our employees, and clients. Our relationships are key to productive, quality construction, and the ability to gain future contracts.

The role will oversee the construction of the project design through effective management of equipment, personnel, subcontractors, and receipt of material necessary for the project schedule.

The successful applicant will safeguard our people through clear implementation of detailed project risk assessment, hazard identification, and safety controls.

With communication the centre of our work, you will develop robust communication lines between the operators and yourself to quickly troubleshoot construction issues as they arise.

The successful applicant will hold:

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Construction (Supervision) or equivalent.

· Experience in rock wall construction, bulk earthworks, concrete, road works and unstable ground.

· Construction industry white card.

· Current Driver’s Licence.

· Civil Machine tickets.
